Tukbera Gram Panchayat, India
Rural women are the backbone of India’s agricultural and informal economies — yet they remain among the most underrepresented and underserved. In Tukbera, where the female literacy rate is below 40% and seasonal migration is high, there is an urgent need for livelihood opportunities and skill-building infrastructure.
Our Needs Assessment Study and Detailed Project Report (DPR) have identified strong potential for a Microeconomic Center, designed to empower women and tribal communities through locally viable, sustainable economic activities.
To create sustainable livelihoods for women through community-driven models.
To build local skills and transform traditional knowledge into economic assets.
To reduce seasonal migration by creating village-level opportunities.
To foster dignity, income security, and resilience among rural women.
Create livelihoods via tasar silk production, poultry farming, and agro-processing.
Provide training, tools, and market linkages to turn skills into income.
Strengthen Self-Help Groups (SHGs) and nurture local women entrepreneurs.
Contribute to financial inclusion, health awareness, and empowerment.
Act as a catalyst for reversing cycles of poverty in rural and tribal communities.
Train 200+ rural women in skill-based activities within the first year.
Establish 5 SHG-led enterprises with access to local and regional markets.
Increase household income by 30–40% within 2 years.
Reduce seasonal migration by creating locally available opportunities.
