Air pollution has emerged as a critical public health challenge in India’s metropolitan areas. To address this, ScholarLab Foundation, in collaboration with IIT Kharagpur, has launched the innovative Smart AirCARE system through a Technology Transfer (ToT) agreement.

  • Taguchi-based sensors for CO, VOC, and NH₃ detection
  • Market-grade sensors for O₂, CO₂, HCHO, LPG, PM2.5, PM10, humidity & temperature
  • Custom-designed electrical circuitry and real-time cloud dashboard
  • Remote connectivity, CPCB-compliant design & scalable deployment

Real-World Deployment

The first live installation of Smart AirCARE is underway at Eastern Railway Station, serving as a demonstration of its capabilities and marking a milestone toward nationwide adoption.
