Rural women are the backbone of India's agricultural and informal economies — yet they remain among the most underrepresented and underserved. The proposed Microeconomic Center at Tukbera Gram Panchayat is not just a project; it's a powerful step toward inclusive, community-driven development.
Our recent Needs Assessment Study and Detailed Project Report (DPR) have revealed a compelling need for targeted livelihood opportunities and skill-building infrastructure in the region. Here’s why this matters:
Why Microeconomic Centers Matter:
They create sustainable livelihoods by focusing on locally viable activities such as tasar silk production, poultry farming, and agro-processing.
They provide training, tools, and market linkage — transforming traditional skills into economic assets.
They support self-help groups (SHGs) and nurture local entrepreneurship, especially among women and tribal communities.
They contribute to financial inclusion, health awareness, and empowerment, improving the social fabric of the village.
In Tukbera, where the female literacy rate is below 40% and seasonal migration is high, such a center can reverse cycles of poverty by building local capacities and reducing migration pressures.
This initiative is more than infrastructure — it's a catalyst for dignity, income security, and resilience.
We call on government agencies, CSR partners, NGOs, and impact investors to recognize and support such transformative models.
Together, let’s invest in women, invest in rural India.
